Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is the most widely used general-purpose rubber among all synthetic rubbers.
SBR is the major raw material in the manufacture of automobile tires, shoe soles, conveyor belts, rubber tubing, tank and caterpillar tracks, sporting goods, toys and many others.
From this array of products, it is obvious SBR plays an important role in our daily lives. Unlike natural rubber, which is limited by climate and geographical locations, SBR has staked out a firm claim on part of the natural rubber market, and its application is continually being explored.
Characteristics: Bright colored stock with excellent color stability. Improved abrasion resistance, flexibility.
Application: Tires whitewalls and carcasses, a range of mechanical goods such as white or light colored sporting goods, floor coverings, shoe soles and heels and refrigerator gaskets.
